My Rings and Their Stories

A detailed view of a goldsmith's workbench with traditional tools and a handcrafted ring in progress.

Every piece of jewellery that leaves our Gloucestershire studio carries more than just precious stones and metals. It carries a narrative, a unique collaboration between our vision and the wearer’s journey. This month, we invite you into the heart of our workshop to explore three of our bespoke rings and the story behind them.

A bespoke gold ring featuring a warm citrine stone reflecting the natural light of a Cotswold morning.

I. The jewellers garden

Inspired by a cherry blossom tree blowing in the wind this piece features two toned, sculpted, cherry blossom leafs flowing down the band.

This piece was bought by a dad for his 1 year old daughter as the start of her future jewellery collection.

II.

A bespoke engagament ring

This piece is extremely considered from the stone choices to the details sculpted in gold. Rubies because that is her birthstone and 3d lotus flowers on the back of the setting. Lotus flowers are the perfect motif for engagement rings because of a few key points. Firstly they represent new beginnings. Secondly they grow from murky water which represents the struggle all relationships face but that same murky water is what makes them bloom so fabulously.

An emerald ring with foliage-inspired metalwork detail reflecting the lush greenery of the Gloucestershire forest.
A sapphire and diamond engagement ring representing the clarity and depth of a clear night sky.

III. A bespoke engagament ring

This ring took 6 months to design,

6 months of carful consideration over each and every design component. Either side of the ring is asymmetric this was done deliberately to represent nature and make the piece feel more organic. This represents the couples love for nature and the natural beauty of the earth.
